in de pers

For Servaes Nelissen, humour and the tragic are always closely related in his highly particular blend of stage play, cabaret, puppet theatre and mime. In addition to his own plays such as Mijn vader is poppenspeler, De Broekophouder, Dollywood, Happy Garden, Ideale Omstandigheden and Herbert's Aquarium, he played with various companies, including Firma Rieks Swarte, Orkater, Nieuw West, Toneelschuur-producties, and Toneelgroep Oostpool. His part in Lang Zal Ie Leven by Toneelschap Beumer & Drost earned Nelissen the Gouden Krekel award for most impressive stage presentation.

Ilse Warringa is an actress, singer, and cabaret artist. She performed with a range of (youth) theatre companies and is co-founder (alongside Marije Gubbels, Lies Visschedijk and Rop Verheijen) of tgBloodyMary musical theatre company, which directs its efforts at self-written comedy. Since 2010, she has joined Niek Barendsen to form a cabaret duo, resulting in the performances Nest, Tafel en Bed, and Paren. On television, Ilse mostly features in comedy parts in series such as Het Klokhuis, Toren C, Welkom in de Gouden Eeuw, Welkom bij de Romeinen, Welkom in de IJzeren Eeuw and Het Geheim van Eyck. Her voice is frequently featured in animation films, documentaries and audio books.

Popje, hou je muil is the first performance produced through cooperation between Servaes Nelissen and Ilse Warringa at Feikes Huis.
